No More Blank Voicemails.

21st Jan 2009

In response to multiple suggestions sent to the DeadParrot Suggestion Box, Viatalk has developed Voicemail Hang-up Detection. This will prevent any voicemails that are empty because of a hang-up from being sent to your voicemail in the first place. Now you don't need to waste time to access your voicemail to delete blank messages. When you access your voicemail, you can be assured every single voicemail you see is an actual message.

Star Codes

12th Jan 2009

Viatalk is getting back to its roots.  We are pushing the envelope in terms of feature set and developing new and exciting additions to the already robust feature set we currently offer.   We are in the process of rolling out three new star codes for our phone service.

1. Star 393 (FWD) - Use your phone to activate and deactivate call forwarding without logging in to the control panel.  Just hit *393 and enter the number to which you want to forward the calls.

2. Star 363 (DND)- Use your phone to activate and deactivate Do Not Disturb without logging in to the control panel.  This feature acts independently of the scheduled DND times in your control panel, you hit *363 and you are on DND.

3. Star 255 (BLK) - If someone calls you that you want to add to your block list, hit *255 and it will prompt you to make sure you would like to block them.  Then it simply adds them to your call block list.  No more needing to know the number and adding it manually later.  Use the star code and block them right at the moment you are thinking about it.
